Cookie and Similar Technologies Consent Notice
This Cookie and Similar Technologies Consent Notice ("Cookie Notice") explains how Noodle uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (the "Site"), why we use them, and the choices available to you. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle personal data. This Cookie Notice applies to visitors to the Site, including prospective patients, referring clinicians, and members of the public.

What are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device and store information about your visit, such as your preferences. "Similar technologies" includes pixels, tags, web beacons and local storage that perform an equivalent function.
First-party cookies — set directly by the Site.
Third-party cookies — set by another organisation, such as a supplier we use for chat, analytics or advertising.
Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
Our Legal Basis for using Cookies
Under Regulation 6 of PECR, we must obtain your consent before setting any cookie or similar technology that is not strictly necessary to provide something you have asked for. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Essential cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under PECR, and any personal data they involve is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in keeping the Site secure and working. For Analytics and Marketing & advertising cookies, our legal basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given through the cookie banner.
How Consent Works on This Site
The Site has its own cookie banner with three categories: Essential, Analytics, and Marketing & advertising.
Only Essential cookies are set by default. Analytics and Marketing & advertising cookies stay off until you opt in.
Closing the banner without making a choice is treated as "Reject all".
Your choices are remembered for 12 months.
You can change your choices at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer of the Site.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking Essential cookies may stop parts of the Site, such as live chat, from working.
International Transfers
Where a cookie or similar technology results in personal data being transferred outside the UK (for example to a supplier in the US), we use safeguards permitted by UK GDPR, such as an adequacy regulation or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
Changes to This Notice
We will update this Cookie Notice when the cookies or technologies we use change. If we add new marketing cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent again where required.
